The communication between the messengers and receptors of this system keeps essential functions balanced and working as they should. If the effects of illness, injury, or stress create a demand for system messengers that exceeds the supply, communication stalls, and essential balance is lost. That is where hemp comes into the picture. When taken, hemp supports messengers, communication, and receptors in this regulatory system to help restore essential balance to crucial functions throughout your body. This helps the body stay in homeostasis.

Hemp works by interacting with the receptors of the largest regulatory system in your body. This essential communication system is a complex network of messengers and receptors responsible for helping to regulate nearly every crucial function in your body. These functions include the processes responsible for immune system function, pain perception, inflammation, emotional responses, memory, and more. CB Distillery™ Lab Results: Why We Lab Test Our Hemp Extract Products

When you eat in a restaurant, it’s natural to assume the establishment follows safe food handling practices. When you purchase a product, like shampoo for example, you likely trust the manufacturer not to use harmful ingredients that could damage your health or your hair. You are asked to continuously place your trust in numerous industries, knowing that reputable companies routinely test their products to ensure quality, safety, and reliability. In many industries, quality control standards are mandated. In others, the requirements are not as clearly defined. Therefore, it’s up to product manufacturers to take the initiative to ensure the health and safety of their customers. We take our responsibility to our valued customers quite seriously. All CBDistillery™ products are sent to an independent third-party lab to ensure the products you select are pure, potent, and safe for consumption.

What is Hemp Extract Lab Testing?

Hemp Extract lab testing is the practice of sending products to an independent testing facility. At the lab, products are tested by an unbiased third-party to assess cannabinoid content and verify that products have not been contaminated during any phase of the manufacturing process.

The Importance of Hemp Extract Testing

Hemp extract is extracted from the stalks and stems of industrial hemp plants. Industrial hemp is known for its ability to absorb heavy metals, chemicals, and other toxins from soil and water as it grows. That’s why it’s essential that the products we offer are tested for purity.  It’s our responsibility to ensure your safety. We also believe consistent third-party testing and sharing results provides:
  • Transparency

Transparency is particularly important in the hemp extract industry. We believe every person should have the ability to verify the products they select are of consistent quality and safe to use. People should know what they are paying for. We post third-party test results so our customers know they can trust our products.
  • Accuracy

There are far too many reports of companies selling poor quality products at premium prices. As a result, it’s apparent that many people are purchasing hemp seed oil believing they are getting hemp extract. Since hemp seed oil does not contain hemp extract, third-party testing allows consumers to verify the accuracy of product descriptions.
  • Potency

Reputable hemp extract manufacturers use third-party test results to verify the potency of their products. Customers who have access to test results can confidently purchase their favorite products knowing the cannabinoid content is consistent with manufacturer claims.

What is Hemp Extract Tested For?

Third-party testing facilities screen products for chemical contamination, heavy metals, and bacteria. Test results help product manufacturers optimize their processes and identify areas that may need improvement. Hemp extract products are commonly tested for:
  • Hemp Extract Levels

Many companies sell hemp-derived products that contain significantly less hemp extract than specified on products labels. Third-party test results allow manufacturers and their customers to verify that hemp extract content is consistent with product descriptions. Tests results also reveal the presence of any additional cannabinoids including CBDA, CBG, and THC.
  • THC Levels

THC is the cannabinoid found in cannabis plants that causes intoxication.1 To be classified as industrial hemp, our government has specified that hemp and hemp-derived products must contain 0.3 percent THC or less. Third-party testing ensures products fall within legal limits and will also provide verification that hemp extract products marketed as 0 % THC are accurately represented.1
  • Shelf Life

Product stability or shelf-life testing defines the extent a product changes over time. The process involves a collection of analytical data based on product ingredients, composition, processing, and packaging.2 Companies can use this data to ensure their products have the longest shelf life possible.
  • Contaminants

Heavy metals are not the only contaminants that could find their way into hemp extract. Third-party labs also test products for contamination from mold growth, yeast, E.coli, salmonella, and residual solvents.3

CBDistillery™ Lab Test Results

CBDistillery™ was one of the very first (if not the first) manufacturers to provide customer access to the third-party test results of every product offered. We made that decision because we want our customers to feel confident about purchasing CBDistillery™ products. You can find all of our lab test results posted within the images of every product we offer. You can also access this information by scanning the QR code on every CBDistillery™ product label.

What to Look for When Purchasing Hemp Extract

Hemp extract product descriptions and manufacturer claims are helpful but don’t necessarily tell the entire story. An unfortunate number of companies are selling low-quality products at premium prices. You can protect yourself from misleading claims when you know what to look for when purchasing hemp extract. The following suggestions could help you make an informed purchasing decision:
  • Third-Party Test Results

Any company could claim their products are third-party tested, but a company that values transparency will allow their customers to view product test results. To ensure the reports are unbiased, testing should be completed by an independent third-party facility.
  • Hemp Extract to THC Ratio

There are two potential sources of hemp extract, marijuana and hemp. The significant difference between the two plants is the hemp extract to THC ratio. hemp extract derived from industrial hemp will have a high hemp extract to THC ratio. You may want to look at the third-party test results to confirm your full-spectrum hemp extract contain 0.3 percent THC or less, and that 0% THC products do not contain detectable levels of the cannabinoid.
  • Hemp Extract Content

The hemp extract content of the products you purchase should always be specified in milligrams (mg). You can use third-party test results to confirm products contain the amount of hemp extract specified by the manufacturer. By confirming hemp extract levels, you will know that the hemp oil products you select are extracted from the aerial plant parts, not the seeds. Hemp seed oil does not contain hemp extract.

The Verifiable Quality of CBDistillery™ Products

When purchasing hemp extract, look for manufacturers willing to verify the purity and potency of the products they sell. Since any company can claim their products are third-party tested, it’s important that you reserve your trust for companies that allow you to verify those test results. At CBDistillery™, we have full control over every aspect of product production, from the planting of our non-GMO hemp seeds to the distribution of our quality products. As a leader in the hemp extract industry, we were also one of the first companies to give our customers full access to third-party test results. For hemp extract tinctures, capsules, topicals, and hemp extract vape products visit CBDistillery™. Our products are tested by the leading accredited lab in the cannabis industry to ensure they meet the quality and safety standards established by the Colorado Department of Agriculture and the production standards required for US Hemp Authority™ certification.  Additional Sources

What Time of Day Should I Take Hemp Oil?

Factors that Determine the Best Time of Day for Hemp

Many people are intrigued by the considerable health and wellness potential of hemp extract. If you’ve been investigating your options, you’ve likely noticed that people are using this non-intoxicating plant element for a wide range of concerns. Some say hemp extract helps them feel more alert, focused, and energized. Others say they feel calm, relaxed, and ready for sleep.

Since some hemp extract users claim they get the best results using hemp during the day, but others prefer using hemp at night, you might naturally wonder which time of day is ideal for hemp use. Well, you might find our answer a bit surprising.

In truth, there’s no best answer. Using hemp isn’t like taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, drinking several cups of coffee, or using a sleep aid. There’s simply no way to know precisely how hemp might make you feel or how you might benefit until you try it. Here’s what you need to know.

Understanding Why Hemp Has the Potential to Affect Everyone Differently

When you use any hemp extract product, the compounds mimic the effects of two neurotransmitters made in your body. Mimicking the effects of these essential messengers allows the hemp to interact with the receptors of the largest regulatory system in your body. Researchers today believe that the interaction between the messengers and receptors of this system regulates the processes of homeostasis, the internal balance essential to your survival. When internal or external influences upset that balance, it’s the processes of homeostasis that restores equilibrium to affected processes.

In that respect, hemp works the same for everyone, supporting the functions of the largest regulatory system in your body. But that doesn’t mean that everyone will feel the exact same way after taking hemp. While most people find that hemp does not alter how they feel, everyone’s body chemistry is different. The way your body responds to hemp depends on which essential functions which might need to be restored.1

Practical Advice for First-Time Hemp Users

Hemp support influences the regulatory system controlling your sleep cycles, immune system function, thermoregulation, metabolism, and more. Many hemp users report that hemp-derived product helps them feel energized, focused, and refreshed in the morning, but calm, relaxed, and ready for sleep at night. But those effects are not universal. Considering the complexity of this regulatory system function, most experts in the field recommend that first-time hemp users preview their products at some point during the day when feeling a little more tired or more alert than usual won’t negatively impact their activities.

If you’re like most people, that typically means experimenting with plant-based hemp after getting home from work but several hours before turning in for the night. That first evening, you’ll want to start with a small amount of hemp, even just a few milligrams.2 Gradually increase the amount you are using each day until you achieve the results you were hoping for. Once you know how much hemp you need to achieve your goals, and how those serving sizes make you feel, you’ll have a much better idea if you might want to take hemp in the morning or night.

Other Factors That Could Influence Individual Preferences

Some people use hemp as needed, while others appreciate the many potential health and wellness benefits of daily use. Of those who use hemp daily, most find they achieve their best results after using hemp consistently for a week or two. While it’s always a good idea for first-time users to proceed slowly, most hemp users soon discover that they can use their favorite products any time of day. But the following factors could help you decide which time of day might be your best option:

Your Reasons for Using Hemp

  • Some hemp users turn to hemp-derived products for the many potential health benefits of ECS support. Others have specific reasons they are drawn to hemp; it’s potential to improve sleep, calm their mind, or soothe their body. The reason you decided to use a hemp-derived product will likely influence your decision.

The Products You Select

  • If you’re using hemp capsules, it can take up to two hours for the cannabinoids to pass through your digestive system. Since the results are long-lasting, you might appreciate the sustained effects of morning use or taking your capsule a few hours before bed. The choice is yours. But some products, like CB Distillery™ Nighttime Gummies, are specifically formulated for nighttime use.

Your Serving Sizes

  • If you’re using larger serving sizes of a high potency product, you may want to consider using your hemp morning and night to keep the hemp levels in your body consistent. When you take in more hemp than your body needs at any given time, the plant compounds are not utilized effectively. Any excess is wasted. To get the most value from your investment, consider splitting your current usage into smaller serving sizes taken in intervals throughout the day for sustained effects. You may even find that you need less hemp per day to achieve more consistent results.

Many hemp users report that hemp-derived products help them feel energized, focused, and refreshed in the morning, but calm, relaxed, and ready for sleep at night. But those effects are not universal. Individual results depend on which essential processes might be restored to balance through hemp support. The only way to know if you prefer the effects of daytime use, nighttime use, or both is to see how your system responds.
